FlightDial Terms of Use

By installing or using FlightDial ("the App"), published by Mishigo OÜ ("we", "us"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's standard licence terms for apps bought from the App Store.

FlightDial displays aircraft reported by a public ADS-B service on an analog dial, positioned by their bearing and distance from a chosen point, and it displays the time.

It is a flight-radar app that also shows the time. It is not a replacement for any instrument, service or official source of flight information.

Aircraft data comes from adsb.lol, a volunteer community service, under the Open Database License (ODbL), falling back to airplanes.live where adsb.lol has no coverage. We do not produce, verify or control either service.

Community ADS-B coverage is uneven and incomplete. In particular:

• Aircraft that do not broadcast ADS-B, or are out of range of a receiver, do not appear at all.
• Military, state and some private aircraft may be absent or filtered.
• Positions can be delayed, inaccurate, or wrong.
• Between updates, the App estimates where an aircraft has moved to. Those positions are predictions, not observations.

An empty dial does not mean an empty sky.

The App must not be used for aviation, navigation, air-traffic awareness, emergency response, security, or any other purpose where an error could cause harm or loss.

It is not certified for any such use, and nothing in it should be treated as authoritative.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms.

You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the App, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.

FlightDial is free. There are no in-app purchases and no subscription, so there is nothing to pay, restore or refund.

If that ever changes, it will change in a future version of the app, with its own terms. It will not change for a version you have already installed.

The App depends on a third-party data service that we do not operate. It may become unavailable, change its terms, or begin requiring credentials, and the App may stop showing aircraft as a result, temporarily or permanently.

We may update, change or withdraw the App or any feature of it.

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, the App or the data it displays.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

FlightDial collects no personal data. See the FlightDial Privacy Policy.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the App after an update means you accept it.

These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
